TonLe Sap : We took a superspeed boat from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. Five hours on the lake at breakneck speed.

The TonLe Sap is the second biggest lake in Asia. Its size grows and shrinks by triple every half year round. It is filled by the Mekong in the wet season because the volume of water flowing out the Mekong is too much so it floods back into the Tonle Sap. The lake is basically the same water-system as the Mekong and is the spawning ground for a huge number of fresh water fish species. Without this lake and its water system, many many people will starve! It feeds Cambodia. Its also the same water-system that allowed Angkor to be built where it stands today.

The photos show the lake at max flood levels.

Phnom Penh Genocide Musuem : The Khmer Rouge Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh.

Due to the nature of the gallery, viewer discretion is advised.

The musuem was being visited by a school, that's why the students are there. They came from a far away province to learn about their country's dark past.

I will add no captions on the photos because they speak for this album too clearly.
